About me

I'm an entrepreneur and software developer with a keen interest in understanding the workings of the world (pretty big challenge, I know).

At the time of this writing, I spend 2 days a week as the "Vice-President, Information" (whatever that means :P) of ENVrecon and 3 days a week as the "Technology Development Manager" at TRTech.

ENVrecon is a tool that aggregates environmental information from a host of sources to enable resource sector companies to conduct an environmental assessment of a location using a fraction of the time/money previously possible. My work at ENVrecon is primarily that of a web developer.

TRTech is a not-for-profit that helps Western Canadian tech SMEs (Small to Medium Enterprises) in any way they can. My work with TRTech is primarily that of a tech lead. In addition, I have also had the opportunity to do both software architecture and modelling of the business of many clients.

While I am a generalist in software development, I have amassed quite a bit of experience in Python and in particular Django.

I am also the founder and co-organizer of PyYYC, a Calgary based Python user group.
